Our Team

Sofiia Yefimchuk

Customer Service

Sofiia joins the project as it approaches completion, working closely with both the team and the client. She conducts the final walkthrough to ensure all work meets company standards. Sofiia prepares the unit for handover by organizing a “Welcome Home” binder that includes important documentation such as detailed information on appliances, mini-split systems, and the ERV system, along with clear operating instructions. She also leaves the client a and a list of contractors to contact directly should any issues arise. Sofiia remains the client’s point of support for up to one year after handover, including coordinating the one-year warranty follow-up.

Masha Teliavska

Finances Team

Masha is the accounts representative at Modern Buildings. She prepares a portfolio for each client and is responsible for creating estimates and issuing invoices for billing. She also collects subcontractor invoices that have been approved by management and records them in the books to ensure projects remain within budget. This process allows the company to maintain accurate financial records and have official, up-to-date reports readily available at any time, ensuring a clear understanding of each project’s financial status.

Peter Unru

Permitting Team

Peter is our permitting expert. He prepares feasibility reports for clients to help them understand what can be built on their property and whether their desired design can be achieved to its full potential. He provides comprehensive reports with all relevant details gathered during the review process. Once a design is approved, Peter manages the permit application process by preparing all required documentation and drawings for submission to the city. He also coordinates directly with the city, closely tracking the process and promptly notifying the team of any required payments to ensure approvals move forward without delays.

Mark Oboznyy

Constr. Management Team

Mark is the Construction Manager who meets with clients as the project transitions into the construction phase. He reviews the design plan previously selected by the client to confirm that no changes have been made and discusses the desired start date. Mark gathers any additional information needed, including details provided earlier by team members, and develops a detailed budget based on the client’s selections along with a construction schedule that aligns with their preferred timeline. Once all parties are aligned, he initiates estimate requests and selects the best options to meet the client’s needs. Mark oversees the project from ground-up through turnkey completion, working closely with on-site superintendents assigned by area.

Ivan Maslov

Sales Representative

Ivan is our Sales Representative and the first point of contact for all clients. He responds to inquiries, schedules initial meetings, and conducts preliminary feasibility reviews by gathering property measurements and key details. Ivan guides clients through estimated costs, financing options, and contracts, ensuring all steps are completed accurately and without delays. As the first representative clients meet, he builds strong relationships and upholds Modern Buildings’ core values of Trust, Transparency, and Honesty.
